No Blogpost, No Walk

I'm in the final days, and hours of the deadline to deliver my finished manuscript for my book....yesterday no blogpost, no walk....am I excused?

The content of the book has been finished for a week, but I still had to gather recipes and write the instructions for those. Now an even bigger project of sifting through hundreds of photos to find the perfect ones that demonstrate how to "Learn the Kettlebell Swing". I thought I would start by getting rid of the photos I know won't work. That'll get rid of about 60%. Of the remaining 40% I'll have to chose the final 10% or so.

This has been a crazy time filled with high quality problems....lucky, lucky me.

Over the last couple of weeks, especially, I found myself having to almost re-live my beginnings. The beginning of my weightloss, the beginning of discovering the Swing and the affects I was able to produce by using this one powerful transformative movment, the beginning of the best times in my life. Remembering some things I forgot that were instrumental in the success of my initial weightloss, fitness and health, but even more magical through this process I can see more clearly how I am able to successfully maintain, and improve on the incredible results I was able to achieve.

As busy as I've been, committing to writing (almost) daily blogposts and reconnecting in a different way with myself (almost) daily through walking has actually helped me see myself differently. I have become more clear on who I am, who I want to be, and what I want to do. Just as making and preparing all of my own foods and training the kettlebell swing are forever going to be part of my life, so is writing and walking....just not yesterday!

You are such an inspiration, Tracy! I fell off the walk wagon and missed a week (my grandbabies were here visiting, so I did get some walking in at the zoo one day and a neighborhood stroll with Gracie another day). I have jumped back in with renewed enthusiasm. I walked with some new friends last night (6 miles around the lake) I think I made up for my lost week. LOL!

Beth,

There's just too much emphasis on being "perfect". Tell you what, if you don't want to make time to go for a 15-20 minute walk, spend that time trying a new healthy recipe, or making a healthier version of a recipe you already know.

Or how about cleaning out your pantry of any junk or expired foods?

Just do something that will make your life, your body feel better.

Hi Tracy

Introducting myself. A friend of mine who is a KB fanatic got me onto your blog and I've loved reading your posts.

I can so relate to re-living your past. Like you, I've just written my first book, only self published it. The process was quite confronting but looking back I can see what a wonderful person I have become because of it. How successful I was and what I have achieved.

So, here's to you and I girlfriend for being the best that we can be.

yup, perfection is a mirage. We can aspire and--I get up each day and try again. I really wanted to meet the daily walk challenge but life happens in the meantime and time with my grandbabies can never be recaptured. :) Have an awesome day, Tracy!

Diana,

Thank you! I wish I weren't so stinkin' tired to put on make up more often...how do those women do it?

Hi Shelley,

Thank you so much for your support and your comment. I am always motivated to post more often when I think someone is actually reading!

Juci,

Having to do photo shoots is a high quality problem...I almost found myself complaining about it....at least I don't have to act, or say lines! Now that's hard!

Beth,

Since having a grandbaby of my own now I often skip a yoga practice so I can get an early start on the 1 1/2 hr drive to spend time with her. There's never a question to which is more important.

Most times I can have both.

Leslie,

Thanks! I still want to come to up your way! I think that may be the only way I get to see you again?
