Happy Book Day!

Just had to say it!  Happy book day to me, happy book day to me, happy book day to me-e...happy book day to me!

Thank you all for your interest and support over the past few years.  Most of you know this, but I'll say it again...The Swing is about so much more than an exercise!  For some of us it can be the beginning, a chance to rip out the pages of all of those old chapters in our lives giving us all a chance to write a whole new story....and we are the heroes!

Of course a super big special thank you to Timothy Ferris for spreading the "secret" in The 4 - Hour Body".  Not just of the secret of kettlebell swing, but that the secret to creating the body you want, the body you dreams of is not as complicated as we all seem to make it.  One bell, one movement, one person....alone in my garage....

Hi Tracy

Congratulations! I've been a silent reader as well, following your every post since Tim Ferris mentioned you in his book. I live in beautiful Vancouver BC, the land of the Lululemon, so I giggle every time you go Lulu shopping, I'm addicted as well. THe kbell appealed to me so in your honour and for my health, I've taken swing lessons from a local RKC that has met you and thinks the world of you. I've been swinging for several months now and my body is changing dramatically. But most of all, I LOVE the swing, it's a serious workout, but so much fun too. Thank you for your videos, they are inspirational and the basis of most of my kbell workouts. I even got my brother and my husband swinging, LOL.

What can I say, thank you and keep on doing what you're doing, you're inspiring a lot of "silent" admirers. We may not say much most of the time, but we are glad when you post your thoughts, your experiences, your workouts and your recipes (btw, the steel cut oats with brussels sprouts, feta and black pepper rocks!).

And I think that the love you and Mark have is like "oil for the soul". I have such a husband too, he and I love each other tremendously. He always loved me too, no matter my weight. We're nearing our 10 year anniversary.

I will definitely download your book to my Kindle tonight.

Keep on swinging it "out of the park"!

Congratulations again Tracy.

Cheers,
Etta

Thanks again to everyone!

Guy, I thought about you when I did the second half of my workout this morning...I hope to have the energy to write about it in the morning. It has to do with working with the body that show up!

Fawn...get ready to roll...your girl "G" is on board, lol!

Etta...comments like yours keep my fire burning! Oh and I'm going to steal "swining it out of the park!" from you! I'd love to spend some time in Lululand...wouldn't it be great if they did a version of a "socksleeve" or some kind of "swing" tight or tank! (preferably a higher cut neckline, lol)

and Tracy...we "Tracy's" gotta rock it!

Thanks for your book and blog! I just discovered you a few days ago and got your book the first day it was released. I've been at a low spot with my health and fitness or months and finally decided to do something different in January. I have been a long distance runner and casual home-gym weight lifter, yet still weak and have plenty of excess body fat. Since then, I have been seeing a nutritionist and taken my self to school on how to use my body for health, strength and longevity. I was missing protein and over training. I felt like crap. Thanks for the education and renewal!

tfb,

For some reason some of my emails are taking along time to get into my mailbox....I'm still waiting.

tfb,

sorry, I was signed in as Mark as I was posting something on youtube...the last comment was from me!

Jaime,

You are not alone in not eating enough protein. As I write about in my book I find this nutrient to be one of the easiest to prepare. I find veggies the "hardest" because fresh foods, especially veggies usually take extra care in prep and storage with a short life span.

You bring up the point again which is a very important one...I'll have to give it some more attention.

The "over training" subject is another really good one...

Thank you for your comments!

I loved your inspirational book! I bought it last night and read it "cover to cover" on my IPad! I'm on my journey, and picking up my kettlebell again tomorrow morning should make my training more effective again. Thank you for your courage and honesty. I've been reading your blog for a year since 4 Hour Body came out!

Congrats on your book. I downloaded it for my Kindle and read through most of it in one sitting. I already loved my kettlebells; now I realize what I want to accomplish with them. I see myself in so many instances of your story. Thanks!

Love you guys! Thanks! I'll be posting more stuff, videos and pictures, on my facebook fan page "The Swing". Make sure and "like" it!
