Picture "Not-Ready"

Pictures take time. I would love to include pictures with every blogpost, and for many months I did my best to "entertain" you all, but.....I just don't have the time to do it to my satisfaction. I wish I was a better photographer, but that's not a talent of mine....I do the best I can with what I have.

I haven't worn makeup, or done a "proper" job with my hairstyle in months, probably, because I've been going to yoga class twice a day and I sweat like crazy (I almost said, "I sweat like a pig", lol....I gotta stay away from those phrases), so, no use getting "all pretty"....I mean, I'm already cute (lol), but not "picture ready"!

My workout schedule is crazy these days. I'm taking advantage of the luxury I have of chosing to live like an athlete.....it's really great having people approach me at my yoga studio and ask me what I do for exercise (besides yoga), it must be obvious I do something special by the way I look because it's not yoga that makes me look like the way I do......it's KB's.....shhhhh! (Both Mark and I are approached regulary) I actually had some one say to me, "Well you don't get arms like that doing yoga!" How great is that!

Anyway, I'm training at a whole new level these days, my diet is at a whole new level and my attutide about food and eating is transforming into something amazing..... This past year has been filled with frustrations, but never doubt.

  4. Hey Tracy,
Great progress! I have taken some of your advice to heart. More carbs, smaller portions. It seems to work and I'm looking at a 1 pound weight loss per week, which I think is obtainable. Thank you for your posts and your ideas. I use a few of your delicious recipes and make them my own!

    Gratitude,
    Crystal

  5. Tracy, I think posting those scary hair pictures would be funny. I bet mine would be scarier than yours would ever be! LOL!! Although I've always been one for the shock factor! :)

    Happy Turkey Day!!!

  6. This is awesome, Tracy! I'm so happy for you :-)
Thanks for sharing with us. The scale is only a number. But numbers can symbolize positive things, and not just negative things. So yay for you! Glad you're reaching your goals

P.S. I want to see pictures too. Scary hair is optional.
    :-p

  7. Jennifer,

Things are great, but I still need to learn time management....you know how they always say when you quit work you have "less time"? Well first, I quit my manicuring job of over 25 years, and then I kind of quit my "blog job" ,lol, but I have less time than ever it seems!

  8. neca,

My plan is to use my old blog for reference to write a book of some sort.....you will probably see some "best of" old blog posts here on TFBT....

I have recieved quite a few requests for invites, and it's curious to me what exactly do people want? Workouts? Videos? I'm not sure....I mean it was up for 2 years, and weeks after I announced I wouldn't be posting there anymore....

It wasn't anything personal, I just wanted to go over it myself and organize it, reflect, and move in a forward direction.

  9. Leslie,

It's the coolest! I can't wait to elaborate on this experience more.

When you think of yourself as an athlete it changes how you train, and how you feel about your training. Important stuff, and I am lucky to be able to experiment physically and mentally.

(I think that was probably the most important part of this blog post, so thank you for "catching" it, lol)

  10. Crystal,

It's always about making things "your own", afterall it's your life!

We all have different circumstances and finding what works for us is key. I only see my part as an example of how I make it work, or at least try to make it work!

  11. Jen,

It's hard getting good photos when you're an old bird like me! LOL

Happy Turkey day to you guys too!

  12. Keturah,

    The numbers on a scale.....

It's the feelings and emotions that teeter one way or the other based on a number......

It can be a hard habit to break....investing so much self worth on your bodyweight. Good Lord, I can let it suck!
